Hi, Iโ€™m Zoe!

Discovering I have ADHD was truly life-changing. For the first time, I didnโ€™t feel so alone. Watching videos of people describing life the way I experienced it was eye-opening and learning that I might need to approach things differently made so much sense. It felt like a missing puzzle piece had finally fallen into place. I began to understand that there was a reason for so many of my struggles and it wasnโ€™t just that I wasnโ€™t trying hard enough.

Still, I was terrified to go to the doctor in case they told me I didnโ€™t have ADHD and that I was just jumping on a trend. Thankfully, they didnโ€™t say that.

After my diagnosis, it felt like my ADHD got louder. I started noticing everything I did. Noises seemed louder and I often felt completely overwhelmed. Everyday tasks that had always been a challenge seemed even more daunting now that I was so aware of them. Thatโ€™s where understanding and working with your Nervous System can make a huge difference.

While I loved learning about ADHD and how it affected me, I still felt stuck. Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) was as intense as ever and I found myself facing a new struggle, who am I behind the mask? Can you relate?

Trauma informed Counselling is the key to understanding this and why I trained in Trauma and Somatic Counselling, so I could support others like me.

My Training

  • Qualified and Accredited Animas Transformational Coach

  • ISOHH Trauma and Somatic Counsellor

  • Sand Tray Therapy

  • Lego Serious Play

What sets me apart?

I am qualified through a credible Coaching Program and accredited through the EMCC (I could be ICF Accredited but I chose not to due to their lack of Neurodivergent awareness at the time).

I am always researching, attending webinars, appearing on podcasts and Iโ€™ve given talks but most importantly I still have counselling myself (a Coach or Counsellor who gives you the impression their perfect or fixed is a red flag). I undergo Supervision (This is a third party who makes sure you are holding an ethical space and not bringing in things like countertransference etc) and I have a considerable numbers of Client hours and years under my belt with Neurodivergent clients.
